Painting up a storm at the CAF

This weekend was the Children’s Art Festival here in Kamloops and for the first time it was held indoors. The City of Kamloops had generously arranged for the event to be held inside the Interior Savings Center. Over 30 community booths of entertainment and crafts for kids were set up around the concourse of the ISC. We opened the doors and invited families inside for a cozy and dry day of FREE family fun.

I was tucked back in a corner so it took a little while before the word got around that I was there painting faces. But the faces eventually did the talking as the always do and before I knew it the line was steady but much shorter than usual. Attendance was down significantly from other years largely because of the venue change which was nice for those who did attend.

I absolutely LOVE where I live that we have amazing FREE events like the Children’s Art Festival for kids in Kamloops and am super happy that I can take part.
